Sixty five hours and 219 miles provided me a lot of time and opportunities to take photos of the Mason Dixon Trail. Here are the ones that didn’t make it into my trip report.

About a mile in.
Right turn here off a busy road about 5 miles in.
You need to sprint across 15, which is a very busy highway.
You’re heading straight back about 2 miles away.
11 miles in you turn left onto the first trails.
Some of the sections are a little tight. . .
Followed by wide open meadows.
Not too far into Gifford Pinchot State Park. 19 miles.
Maybe halfway through Gifford Pinchot just past the boat launch area.
Boring Bridge.
Random road section? Yeah, no clue where this is.
Conewago Creek Rd just past I-83 maybe 34 miles in. You’re heading towards those towers way in the background.
They paved Rooster Ln since the last time I was on the MDT.
Rt 181 is very busy but the shoulder is large enough to feel safe on.
Getting closer to the towers.
Passing next to Royal Manchester Golf Course.
Just under the second bridge is the end of map 2 – 40 miles in.
Map 3 starts with 2 miles on Gut Road.
Exit Gut Rd. under the bridge.
Couple more flat miles on Riverview Dr.
Four miles into map 3.
Climbing up through Susquehanna Riverlands SP.
Left turn here then a quick right into Hellam Hills.
New trail section in Hellam Hills.
This is what 76 miles worth of calories looks like. No, seriously.
Spooky culvert under Rte 624 about 60 miles in.
About to turn right into SGL 181 about 85 miles in.
Wait, I don’t remember this uphill. . . doh!
Peavine Island about 5 miles further along.
Peavine Island has some climbing challenges.
Mile or so further along.
You cross Muddy Creek on this bridge and then head downstream on the far side.
Trails above Muddy Creek.
Modestly technical descent to Cold Cabin Road.
Chill road section heading back towards the river.
Entering Peach Bottom property.
Like I needed an obstacle course.
Krick Road has some nice views. I’m about 111 miles in at this point.
End of map 5. If you look very closely, you’ll still not see the “Welcome to Maryland” sign.
Both types of trail markings here.
Outdoor chapel at Indian Lake Christian Camp where I spent a number of weeks as a kid back in the ’80s. Talk about life coming full circle.
Glen Cove Marina.
It took me a while to get this gate open as my coordination was starting to wane like the sunlight.
And I won’t even begin to tell you how long it took me to crawl over this stile. About 120 miles in now.
Cruising through Elkton, MD. 172 miles in.
Map 9 starts next to an industrial complex. Mile 178.
If you look closely, you can see the MDT marker on the Iron Mine Trail sign. If you want to run the MDT, you better be good at playing Where’s Waldo.
Trail next to Christiana River. Maybe miles 184-189.
Leaving Freemont Rd and heading down to Creek Rd. Mile 190.
Crossing into White Clay Creek Park.
Arc Corner stone monument.
At the Eastern Terminus trying (unsuccessfully) to wrap my head around what I’d just done.
I was 100% content to sleep the rest of the night here. Thankfully my wife wouldn’t let me.😁
