I took a lot of photos during my journey that didn’t make it into my race report. Here’s what I left out.

Check-in Selfies

It’s going to be pretty obvious, pretty quickly that I need to up my selfie game.

Edison Bench. I have no idea what I’m doing with my eyes here. I swear I’m not crazy. Or hitting on a statue.
Second check-in. Nice to see my mustache still holding up OK after 13 hours.
Harding Tomb. It might be light out, but I’m still waking up.
Riverside Crossing Park. As bad as I look, I feel worse.
West Jefferson check-in. It took me like 4 tries to get this pic. Headlamp on, off. Sign not in pic. Everything blurry. 3:30am can be pretty rough during a journey run.
This is “anywhere in Xenia”. I picked this spot because of the Xenia sign in the background. What do you mean you can’t see it? I could clearly see it as I rolled up.
Little River Bar & Grill. Mustache has seen better days.

And Now The Course

Lead pack leaving the start line.
Sidewalk in Sandusky.
Route 250 leaving Sandusky with our hotel over on the right.
Very generous shoulder on Rt 250.
Town square immediately before the first check-in.
This came off my pack early on day 1. Hope I don’t need that pocket.
Decent shoulder.
Norwalk which is the last opportunity to resupply for a while.
Rural roads, rural life.
North Fairfield which did have working vending machines.
North Fairfield.
Country road.
Some pretty cool looking farms along here.
Couple roads outside Marion on day 2.
Random farmland.
Hilliard was hopping.
Early section of the bike path.
The path is ridiculously straight.
Cedarville.
Entering Xenia.
Early on Little Miami Scenic Trail.
Which is apparently the narrowest state park in existence.
I have questions. So many questions.
Nice little water feature.

I’m thinking next year I can shave a couple hours off my finish time by taking fewer pictures.
